IStatMenus is a pretty thorough hardware monitoring tool for the menu bar check out /r/unixporn for some sexy setups If you're missing the whole tiling window manager thing kwm is pretty neat. LaunchBar and Alfred are super powerful Spotlight replacements. Little Snitch is unmatched for network monitoring Use pbcopy and pbpaste to interact with the system clipboard from the command line It's handy to get familiar with diskutil and tmutil <3 Noteplan, it's my favorite notes app by far, you already have my glowing testimonial on your homepage :) (I'm aware of ctrl-F to search for notes) Folders, color-coding, and custom sorting would all help alleviate that issue by making those notes easier to find. I have two primary "TODO: Work", and "TODO: Personal" notes that I always want to stay at the top of the Notes list. My main issue with the current UX is that it's too hard to find my most important core notes in the soup of notes that I edit daily. I currently find my self copy-pasting all the items that weren't finished from day to day, it would be nicer to have unfinished items automatically carry over, or have an easy way to "move to today" easy way to copy TODOs on a calendar date over to the next day.Color coded notes (possibly by tag? #red, #green, #blue etc.), could just display as a subtle bar at the bottom of the note on the notes page, shouldn't be too hard to implement.Sorting options on the notes page: most recently edited (what it is now), alphabetical, group by tag, etc.Quiver) and only allow folders one-level deep, if you ever decide to implement folders for notes, please allow multi-level folders!!!
